It is a remake movie. The original one is made in Japan and the same director was appointed for it. Although American people plays as a main character, the stage is at Tokyo. The combination happened something strange in the film.

Do you know "The Ring"? That is also a remake of Japanese movie. I have never seen that U.S. version, but I imagine the content. I mean, a remake of Japanese horror movie is not attractive for Japanese people. Not scared at all!

What is the boy? The kid ghost has blue face sometimes. The texture looks too cheep and makes no sense. That effect of their eyes, too. Even the main ghost is same. I think actors were demanded too much. Heroine, Sarah Michelle Gellar was too strong to play in the horror film.

In Japan, people sometimes says "a curse (tatari in Japanese)" when something bad happens a couple of times. It must be careful for moving. If someone died regretting something or having grudge at the place, his soul keeps staying there until he attains nirvana. We don't know how to know the fact.

At the film end, I was so disappointed. The cause of grudge was too coarse and easy. I don't understand why U.S. people loves it.
