There is Hiroshima where the atomic bomb was dropped at the first time in 1945. So people all over the world pay attention to there.

Do you know Sadako Sasaki? She died of leukemia because of the atomic bomb, when she was 12 years old and 10 years went by after the war had been over. She kept making thousand paper cranes on the bed to live. The story is written by many novelists around the world, so children around the world have read it.

Okonomi-yaki
Hiroshima people loves okonomi-yaki. It is different from Osaka style, they put flied noodle in it. Although many okonomi-bars there, I recommend "Rei-chan" at the JR Hiroshima station building.Hiroshi

ITSUKUSHIMA SHRINE

Miyajima is an island near Hiroshima city where the Itsukushima shrine is famous. When we go here, many wild deer will welcome us.

Shinto Style Wedding

At the shrine, couples wed as same as doing at church. Although that's Japanese tradition, almost people recently wed at hotel or church.

When the tide is in, the shrine floats on the sea. At night, we can see the fantastic sight by lighting.
