I'd like to get to New York........I was thinking about it.And this year is a special year, 2000 year, The Millennium! I just wan'na go to N.Y, so I looked for the ticket. But everything was very expensive because of New Year's holidays. When I just gave up to do, an e-mail came in my computer. It said that I would go to New York for a discount price. My destiny made me to go there!

31/DEC/1999 in Tokyo

I have a time. The flight was in the evening. I left my home on the time. Taking a taxi to the nearest station,and then taking a train, everything was going well, until that time...... I mistook the train to The Narita Airport! Oh, God! I can't believe me!!

I just confused because I was lost. The sky is darker and darker, nobody is around me. Where is here? (Who is me?) Anyway I have to take the plane in the time. I decided to get to the Narita station near the airport by a train. But the train was local,so the speed was very slowly over my thinking. I have no time!

The train arrived at the station at last. After I took a taxi with my big suitcase, it was only 50 minutes until leaving time. When I had a seat in the plane,my body was dead tired. As the plane left,I tried to sleep. I didn't want to think about anything, just wanted to relax.

And then a noise something ring in the plane. What? When I was just sleeping, what happened?

As soon as I thought so,many crackers went off. You know, it was Count Down in Japanese time! We had a Champagne glass and enjoyed a little bit early New Year, because we knew to enjoy it again in NY.

31/DEC/1999 in NYC

Anyway I arrived in NYC at last. Count Down is just soon! I took a taxi for getting to my bed. The apartment was near the Gramercy Park. You know, the place is where a famous actress live in. At the roof I could see a beautiful sight of Night NYC.

And then I left there for the Count Down event. It was called First Night, I could listen to good music in a church. And I took a metro for that at the first time in NYC. It was just no problem and safety. In spite of that, Japanese people always say that it's really dangerous and shouldn't took it by oneself. Why? I have no idea.

After the church,I thought to go to the Museum where was a meeting place in the First Night. But I was lost on my way in the Central Park. There was no light and only fantastic night view. As I checked my watch,it was 20 minutes before midnight. Oh God!! I wouldn't see Millennium anything?

Through some darkness I finally found small light over there. Though I wasn't sure,I walked to there expecting something. When I got closer and closer,I could see plenty of people there. After I pushed my way through the crowd, I got to a road where nobody was. Why is only here like that? When I looked around in wonder, I was really surprised.

A lot of runners were just lined up for the start!! The road was the New Year marathon course. And then Count Down Call was started, I jointed that absentmindedly. Happy New Millennium! Fire works began, and the runners in disguise started to run. I kept standing absentmindedly seeing the exciting scene. My 2000 year just started in NYC.
