SAN FRANCISCO - U.S.A -

The next morning, I got off a cable car at "Crookedest Street" and walked as far as North Beach. Walking more and more, through China Town and Financial District again, I visited Ferry Building I had seen the scenery by some movies.

In the afternoon, I went to Berkeley by bus through the Bay Bridge. At UC Berkeley, I took a elevator 200 feet up to the observation platform in Sather Tower. The view of the Bay Area and campus was so fantastic. And the library was so wide, beautiful. The famous Berkeley landmark, Sather Gate was nice too. American universities are so large, that is very different from Japan. I think Japanese school is too small. When I walked around Telegraph Avenue, I could have a kind of experience like the '60s. Although it was so interesting, the nearby park seemed dangerous. When I walked into the park, some men spoked to me. Jut the moment I was afraid, found the sign "drug free zone". What???? What dose it mean? Anyway I went back to San Francisco and had dinner at the seaside restaurant. That was the final night in the U.S..

The next breakfast at a restaurant I'd checked a guide book was closed. According to the guide book, the restaurant is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. The day was Wednesday. Oh, come on! So, I found another restaurant instead because I could do nothing. The restaurant was just like America so much. I ordered pancake set called "Cable Car Breakfast". The sausage was so good.

I had a good time in San Francisco. I think the city is beautiful like Europe. In spite of the same California it is different from South California. That is interesting for me. I'd like to visit another cities in U.S. again.
